Since 2017, CM Public Safety Training, LLC has trained thousands of criminal justice professionals across the Midwest. We specialize in courses such as leadership development, field training, DUI enforcement, and de-escalation strategies. Our mission is to provide practical, affordable training grounded in adult learning principles—relevant, real-world instruction designed for today’s public safety professionals.
CM Public Safety Training, LLC is a certified vendor approved by the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board, the Minimum Continuing Legal Education Board of the Supreme Court of Illinois, and the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
We’re also flexible and responsive to agency needs, offering custom training programs tailored to specific goals or operational challenges.
Michael D. DeHart - Owner
Michael D. DeHart began his law enforcement career in 1989 and currently serves as a lieutenant with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Over the course of his career, he has worked in small, medium, and large agencies, bringing a wide range of experience to each.
Michael has held numerous roles, including field training unit supervisor, academy instructor, crime analysis officer, grant manager, and field supervisor. He is a certified Master Instructor with the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board (ILETB) and a proud graduate of the FBI National Academy.
He holds a Master degree in Criminal Justice and Business Management and has previously served as an adjunct lecturer in Criminal Justice at Indiana Wesleyan University, within the Department of Social Sciences.
